Kate has ridden and trained in many disciplines from show horse, show jumping to eventing and track working racehorses. At a young age Kate was a competitive junior rider starting pony club at age 4 and then her eventing career at age 9 with some difficult but rewarding ponies. Kate has recently had the opportunity to travel to Germany and ride some warmbloods at a dressage barn, also visiting the Schockemohle stables meeting many of the worlds most influential stallions.
Best known for her success with palomino pony “Brookleigh’s Cascading Colours” in FEI level eventing as well as consistent wins and placings in show jumping, Colours has been the smallest pony to compete at CCI* level nationally and was trained by Kate throughout her career. After spending many years riding track work for top trainers in Perth Kate has had the opportunity to retrain several thoroughbreds off the track and bring them up the grades to become fantastic performance horses.
Kate currently has 3 horses competing in different levels of show jumping and has had a successful 2016 season including the purchase of a new young horse who will begin his jumping career next year.
